And we are better with you.?? ?We are looking for a Sr. Cost Accountantto join our team and support the Natural Ingredients business in Livingston, California.this position, the Sr. Cost Accountant will need to have the ability to partner with Plant/Manufacturing Operations team to help them achieve their goals. Using accounting and financial analysis experience, this role will support management and provide data driven recommendations, as well as ensuring that inventory and manufacturing controls are executed consistently.What you ll do:??Use General Accounting Functions such asReview month-end inventory balances and transactions.Post Journal Entries to GL and manage accruals.Work with plant management on inventory management and controls.Perform weekly and monthly inventory reconciliations.Assist with internal and external audit requestsProduction Metrics and StatisticsMust gain a deep understanding of Raw Material inputs and drivers about Sensient grown products (onion, garlic, and Parsley). Manufacturing activities range from dehydration, to toasting, milling, blending, and packing.Develop and report on production Key Performance Indicators to plant management.Review spending (Supplies, Repair & Maintenance, and Labor) on a regular basis and provide summarized information to management. Review and publish manufacturing variances.Financial AnalysisManage budgeting and forecasting activities for the plant.Constantly seek improvements in methods to better understand and report the production data.Run Return-On-Investment (ROI) analysis on capital projects.Support finance team with ad-hoc analysis as needed.What you ll bring:5+years of Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing and/or food processing businessPossesses a positive attitude and ability to hit the ground runningAdvance level of Microsoft Office Excel required. Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.?
