THE WORK:
We are looking for Software Engineers passionate about solving exciting problems in the cross-border payments space. We value the growth of our engineers and prioritize career development. You will have a high degree of accountability and responsibility from Day 1!
WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Build modern enterprise payment applications, working across the stack with software engineering, data engineering, and distributed systems knowledge.
  
• Create reliable, high-throughput, low-latency microservices for cross-border transactions.
  
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, testing, and operational support.
  
• Architect, tune, and maintain production database systems.
  
• Collaborate with teams across the organization to consider technical and business implications of your design decisions.
  
• Improve engineering standards by implementing best practices for coding, testing, and deployment.
  
• Identify and resolve customer and infrastructure issues proactively.
  
• Mentor junior engineers and support their growth.
  
• Contribute to hiring plans and long-term team strategy.
  
  WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
  
  
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in large-scale distributed systems, with 5-7+ years in Java or similar languages (Go, Python) and 2+ years in a tech lead role.
  
• Experience with transactional systems and modern persistence technologies (e.g., Aurora PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
  
• Expertise in database migration, tuning, monitoring, and support for critical systems.
  
• Experience with Agile development, focusing on scalable, secure, and robust software design.
  
• Experience deploying containerized applications in environments like Kubernetes or Nomad.
  
• Ability to promote and maintain engineering standards.
  
• A positive attitude and passion for knowledge sharing.
  
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
  
  COMPENSATION:
  For positions based in CA, the annual salary range is $187,200-$234,000 USD, excluding additional compensation such as equity, bonuses, or commissions. Actual salaries depend on experience and qualifications.
