Vice President, Sales, IBG Institutional Equity for BMO Capital
Markets Corp. in San Francisco, CA to develop equity sales opportunities
to market to an established portfolio of institutional investors. Actively
seek out new sales opportunities with prospective clients. Contribute to
the institutional equity sales team through the management and
development of these accounts in a set geographical region. Provide
comprehensive account coverage and client development as well as actively prospect new
clients to increase sales within the assigned territory. Analyze morning
research and translate into manageable information items for clients. Develop
marketing ideas and help initiate transactions through appropriate
presentation of financial data. Provide clients with highlights and the big
picture to facilitate sales. Provide comprehensive service to clients,
develop new solutions, and construct compelling recommendations. Analyze and
interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal
documents in order to better serve client needs. Interpret technical instructions
in mathematical and diagram form and deal with several abstract and
concrete variables using analytical skills in specialized areas such as
probability and statistical inference. Define problems, collect data,
establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. 20%-40% domestic travel. Requires:
Bachelor's degree or foreign education equivalent in Finance, Business
Administration, Management or Economics plus four (4) years of experience
performing institutional sales or investment banking. Specific
skills/other requirements – must possess the following: analyzing and
interpreting business periodicals, investment and financial reports to
identify investment solutions for clients (3 + years); communicating
fundamental company information pertaining to multiple industries to
internal and external clients (3 + years); conducting economic research,
preparing reports, and formulating plans in support of creating customized
financial strategies for clients (3 + years); and responding to inquiries
from clients, regulatory agencies and members of the business
community regarding investments and determining acceptable solutions (3 +
