Job Description Job Description Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1 years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. This full-time, districtwide itinerant position is ideal for a licensed educator specializing in teaching visually impaired students across multiple grade levels. The role requires a Texas TVI educator license and involves providing specialized instructional support to students in grades K-12 within an onsite school setting in Fresno, TX. Key Responsibilities: Deliver tailored instruction to visually impaired students in grades K-12, including grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12 as needed Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Travel within the district to serve multiple schools, ensuring accessibility and learning accommodation for visually impaired students Maintain accurate records and assessments of student progress Attend professional development and team meetings as required Qualifications: Texas Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification/license (required) Experience teaching visually impaired students across elementary, middle, and high school grades preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators, families, and students Ability to manage itinerant responsibilities across multiple campuses within the district Location and Schedule: Onsite position based in Fresno, TX Full-time schedule, 32.5 hours per week Contract role This role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on visually impaired students educational experiences by supporting their academic and social development.
