Information: Days Start Date: ASAP About the Position Pay: $75 -
$78 per hour Position Summary The School-Based Speech-Language
Pathologist (SLP) provides assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic
intervention for students with speech, language, voice, and fluency
disorders. The SLP supports students’ communication development to
enhance academic achievement and social participation, working
collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary
teams. Key Responsibilities Assessment & Evaluation Conduct
comprehensive speech and language evaluations using standardized
and informal assessment tools. Identify communication disorders and
determine eligibility for special education services. Prepare
written evaluation reports and present findings at IEP and
eligibility meetings. Intervention & Service Delivery Develop and
implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals related to
speech and language development. Provide direct and indirect
therapy services in individual and small group settings. Utilize
evidence-based practices to address articulation, language,
fluency, voice, pragmatic language, and social communication
skills. Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans
accordingly. Collaboration & Consultation Participate as an active
member of IEP and multidisciplinary teams. Collaborate with
teachers, special education staff, psychologists, occupational
therapists, and other related service providers. Provide
consultation and strategies to classroom staff to support student
communication needs. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians
regarding student progress and strategies for home support.
Compliance & Documentation Maintain accurate and timely
documentation, including therapy notes, progress reports, and IEP
updates. Ensure compliance with IDEA, Section 504, state
regulations, and district policies. Manage caseload
responsibilities and scheduling efficiently. Qualifications
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication
Disorders. Valid state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
Appropriate state educational certification/endorsement (if
required). Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
(Clinical Fellowship candidates may be considered). Experience
working with school-aged children preferred. Strong interpersonal,
organizational, and communication skills. Physical Requirements
Ability to move between classrooms and therapy spaces. Ability to
lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to engage in activities that support
therapy (e.g., sitting on floor, modeling articulation). Work
Environment School-based setting serving students across varying
grade levels and disability categories. May support multiple
