Technician/Quality Control Job Description The Test
Technician/Quality Control position involves inspecting products
and assisting in meeting schedules and completing assignments as
directed. You will work in a job shop-oriented environment on
multiple product types and have the opportunity to build on your
technical knowledge and experience from working on mechanical,
electro-mechanical, and pneumatic assemblies. Responsibilities
Visually verify product compliance with customer and company
specifications. Functionally verify product performance against
defined test criteria. Utilize hand and power tools, electronic and
pneumatic testing fixtures, and devices. Complete department work
assignments in a timely manner. Create rework instructions or
redline documentation and communicate corrective action directions
to the appropriate parties when necessary. Shift work assignment
priorities as needed and as directed. Maintain organization of
tools and workstation cleanliness. Perform other duties as
assigned. Essential Skills Good mechanical assembly aptitude.
Ability to document inspection findings, redline, and communicate
corrections. Good hand/eye coordination required. Ability to read
and understand Bills of Materials, drawings, sketches, and test
instructions. Good understanding of the English language and
ability to communicate effectively. High School Diploma, GED, or
equivalent experience. 1-2 years of progressive assembly
experience. Moderate knowledge of tools and power tools. Experience
in pneumatic testing, testing with automatic test equipment,
troubleshooting, writing C of C, gathering data, and inspection of
materials and components. 3-5 years of successful Test Technician
experience. Ability to read schematics and drawings. Ability to
work in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication with
engineers. Computer proficiency with Excel experience. ERP
experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Blueprint,
electrical, test, quality assurance, quality control,
pneumatics/electrical testing, SMC, LAM, AMAT, BD Biosciences, CDA
testing, QC, inspection. 2-year technical degree or equivalent
experience in technical electrical work. 2 years of experience in
electrical testing with test instruments. Or no degree with 5 years
of technical experience. Mechanical assembly experience. Experience
with hand and power tools. Experience with electrical and
electronic blueprints, schematics, and diagrams. Ability to perform
assembly, wiring, and tests as needed. Computer skills and
experience in Excel, data entry, organization, and technical
reporting from data sets. High voltage experience (240v) from
testing devices/equipment, maintenance, repair, or installations.
Experience with ANSI, ISO 9001, and/or ISO standards. Why Work

hearing, tasting, or smelling. The employee must occasionally lift
and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by
the job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception,
and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment exposes the
employee to weather conditions prevalent at the time, and the noise
level is usually minimal. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to
Hire position based out of Newark, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay
range for this position is $27.00 - $29.00/hr. Eligibility

classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to
