required - Travel experience required Description: The staff nurse
provides direct care to patients using the nursing process of
assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This ensures
that the physical, psycho-social, safety, rehabilitative, and
learning needs of patients and their families are addressed. This
function is performed in association with nursing peers, attending
physicians, and support services. This position is responsible for
managing care of assigned patients and directing the activities of
the ancillary staff. Daily patient ratios are 4:1. Nurse will care
for patients across all age groups, including neonates, infants,
children, adults, and geriatrics. Daily census in the unit averages
50 patients. Key skills include management of trauma, critical
care, emergency medications, and patient monitoring. The nurse will
be expected to perform various procedures such as intubation,
central line care, and IV management. Crisis intervention and
management of acute psychiatric conditions are required.
Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team is essential to ensure
optimal patient outcomes. Emergency situations may involve trauma,
respiratory issues, and medical emergencies. The nurse must
maintain a commitment to patient safety and infection control
protocols. Knowledge of interpreting dysrhythmias and administering
emergency medications is required. This role may involve rotating
