Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Inkitt is building the Disney of
the 21st Century, standing at the forefront of technology and
entertainment. Leveraging AI and predictive algorithms, Inkitt
discovers unknown stories and turns them into blockbuster hits,
producing a new $1M ebook every 4 weeks and selling directly to
consumers through its Galatea app. Inkitt has become the 11th most
bestseller-generating publisher in the world, boasting a 40x higher
hit-rate than traditional publishers. Recently raising a Series C
and backed by some of the top VC’s such as: Khosla, Kleiner
Perkins, and NEA Ventures, our recent expansion into CandyJarTV is
only the beginning of our journey to becoming the next-gen
entertainment powerhouse. What You'll Do: Partner closely with
executive leadership to define and drive company-wide strategic
initiatives, including monetization strategies, cost structure
optimization, and resource allocation. Own and build comprehensive
financial models, forecasting, and performance reporting to be the
source of truth for KPIs and business metrics. Analyze data and
market trends to drive actionable insights on CAC, LTV, payback,
retention, and other growth levers. Design and implement scalable
systems and processes that improve our operating rhythm as we grow.
Manage cross-functional projects and special initiatives requiring
strong analytical skills and operational rigor, enhancing
efficiency and scalability. Collaborate with teams across product,
engineering, marketing, and customer support to integrate financial
insights into business and operational decision-making. Support
fundraising, investor communications, board materials, and capital
planning. Mentor and lead finance team members, fostering a culture
of high performance and continuous improvement. What You'll Bring:
5–8 years of total experience, ideally with a mix of early-career
training in investment banking, management consulting, or corporate
finance, combined with 2–4 years in a strategic finance or business
operations leadership role at a high-growth startup. Proven
experience working in investment banking or management consulting
environments, bringing strong analytical rigor, strategic
problem-solving, and business transformation expertise.
Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, data analysis, and
strategic thinking with the ability to influence senior leaders and
shape business strategy. Strong business acumen with deep
understanding of consumer tech metrics (CAC, LTV, payback, RoAS)
and unit economics. Proven ability to manage ambiguity, drive
alignment, and execute projects quickly in fast-paced, dynamic
environments. Exceptional communication skills — both written and
verbal — capable of presenting complex data clearly to executive
and non-financial audiences. Experience implementing scalable
systems, processes, and AI-driven tools that enhance finance
function efficiency and deliver actionable insights. A builders’
mindset with passion for process improvement, operational
discipline, and driving change in hypergrowth companies. Who We Are
