Pharmacist Job Opening in Stockton, CA Position Summary: The
Sterile Compounding Staff Pharmacist is responsible for overseeing
and performing sterile compounding operations in compliance with
USP and applicable state and federal regulations. This role
includes compounding large batch preparations (up to 250 vials per
batch), performing and documenting bubble point testing,
maintaining batch logs, and supervising pharmacy technicians to
ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. Key
Responsibilities: 1. Sterile Compounding & Batch Production •
Prepare sterile compounded medications in accordance with USP
Category 3 standards. • Compound large-volume batches (up to 250
vials per batch) accurately and efficiently. • Perform bubble point
integrity testing on filters and document results. • Accurately
complete and maintain batch production records and logs. • Oversee
aseptic technique during all compounding processes. 2. Quality
Assurance & Compliance • Ensure compliance with all applicable
federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations. • Maintain
sterility assurance through environmental monitoring and proper
gowning procedures. • Review and verify compounding records for
accuracy and completeness. • Collaborate with quality assurance
staff to investigate deviations and implement corrective actions 3.
Supervision & Training: • Direct, supervise, and evaluate pharmacy
technicians during sterile compounding activities. • Provide
training and competency assessments for sterile compounding
personnel. • Promote adherence to SOPs and continuous improvement
in compounding practices. 4. Documentation & Recordkeeping: •
Maintain accurate, organized records of compounding activities,
quality control tests, and environmental monitoring results. •
Ensure all batch logs meet regulatory and company documentation
requirements. 5. Schedule & Compensation: - Schedule = Monday
through Friday; 6:30am-3:00pm OR 8:30am-5:00pm. - Compensation =
$65-70/hour. Qualifications : • Education: Doctor of Pharmacy
(PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited
college of pharmacy. • Licensure: Active, unrestricted pharmacist
license in the state of practice. • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years
of sterile compounding experience required; USP Category 3
experience highly desirable. Mixing powders into a liquid in a
sterile environment is required. • Skills: Strong attention to
detail, leadership ability, and excellent communication skills. •
Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with bubble point testing, aseptic
technique, and batch record documentation. Physical & Environmental
Requirements : • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment wearing
appropriate PPE for extended periods. • Must be able to stand for
long durations and lift up to 25 pounds. • Exposure to sterile
compounding equipment, chemicals, and cleanroom gowning procedures.
Working location = in person - Stockton, CA. Job Type: Full-time
